Join Seattle-based women’s choir Ancora for songs of inspiration, music, and poetry. Featured works include American classics such as Will the Circle be Unbroken, and Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal, as well as the elegant Les sirènes (1911) by prodigious composer Lili Boulanger. Founded in 2004, the women’s choir Ancora, is led by Artistic Director Aimee Mell who directed SGC’s Allegra choir for a number of years.
Cantamus is the evening’s guest artist and will present the music of Vivaldi, Dan Forrest, Rollo Dillworth and others under the direction of Alex Gagiu.
