Catherine is excited to join SGC and direct Piccolini! Catherine has performed in a choir every year since third grade. Catherine grew up in rural Oregon and earned a Bachelor of Music from Western Oregon University. Her choral experience in college included two trips to Carnegie Hall. She received a Master in Music Education from the Boston Conservatory of Music. Catherine currently teaches elementary general music and choir in Kent and just completed her Kodaly certification training this summer. She will be singing as a soprano with Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble again this year. In her spare time, Catherine enjoys kayaking, attending live performances and spending time with her husband Nick and their two cats!
