We are thrilled to announce that Prime Voci and Cantamus have each been accepted to participate in prestigious international competitions in 2018.
Cantamus will be competing in the 2018 International Choral Kathaumixw in Powell River Canada in July. SGC has a long history of participating in this prestigious festival, earning competitive wins each time they’ve attended: 1986 (Performing Choir), 1988 (Cantamus), 2000 (Cantamus), and 2014 (PV).
Prime Voci has been accepted to compete at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales in July. The last time SGC competed at this festival was in 1987, where the young women gained invaluable experience and lifelong memories along with their trophy.
We are confident that both choirs will represent Seattle Girls Choir with the excellence, artistry, and exceptional musicianship that is our hallmark and that it will be a rewarding, memorable experience for every girl. Congratulations to Jacob Winkler, Alex Gagiu, and all the girls. We are so proud of you already!
