Uniforms

SGC owns and maintains uniforms for Dolcine through Prime Voci and requires a refundable uniform deposit. This deposit must be received before your choir uniform can be issued, and is held for the duration of your chorister’s choir participation.   When your chorister graduates from the choir, or withdraws, you are responsible for seeing that your chorister’s uniform(s) are returned in good condition.  Within 30 days of the return of the dress, subject to inspection for damage, your deposit will be returned to you.

Uniforms are issued in the fall and are returned immediately following the Spring Concert allowing inventory to be reviewed and managed prior to the next season.  Fittings are held at the choir office once in the fall and again in the spring to verify proper hem length.  Each choir has a specified hem length, measured from the floor with performance shoes on, in order to provide a unified appearance during performances.

You can find detailed descriptions and instructions of each choir level uniform from the Members page of our website.  Click on the Uniforms button at the left.

A $5.00 fee will be charged against your uniform deposit if the uniform is returned with the hem still in place and/or has obviously not been washed.  At no time should one of the uniforms be machine hemmed.  The value of the dress or gown items will be charged to your chorister account if it is damaged beyond repair.  SGC may also charge repair fees for repairable damage.
