DESCRIPTION:Join Seattle Girls Choir’s Prime Voci as they celebrate 1\,000 years of choral music composed by women! \nWomen have always been part of the history of choral music. Unsung Voices celebrates and honors their vast contributions with an exciting selection of choral compositions by women dating as far back as the twelfth century through the present day. \nThe program includes works by Isabella Leonarda\, Florence Price\, Ethyl Smyth\, Caroline Shaw\, Rosephanye Powell\, local composer Jessica French\, and a world premiere of a new commission by Joan Szymko. \nProgram:\nEthyl SMYTH: The March of the Women\nHildegard VON BINGEN: O Frondens Virga\nMaddalena CASALUNA: Stavasi il mio bel sol\nIsabella LEONARDA: Ave Regina Caelorum\nClara SCHUMANN\, arr. Beth Ann BONNECROY: Loreley\nFlorence PRICE: Forever\nAmy BEACH: Three Shakespeare Choruses\nJessica FRENCH: Full Many a Glorious Morning \nJoan SZYMKO: Vox Matris (world premiere\, commissioned by Seattle Girls Choir\, 2025)\nJoanna FORBES L’ESTRANGE: Give us Grace\nKatherine DIENES: Ave Verum\nCaroline SHAW: Its Motions Keeps\nRosephanye POWELL: Non Nobis Domine\nFRENCH: O Star of Strength (commissioned by Seattle Girls Choir\, 2022) \nDirected by Sarra S.
