Registration for Summer Music Day Camp 2024 is NOW open!

SGC offers a weeklong Summer Day Camp designed for girls and gender expansive youth who love to sing! Day Camp participants will improve their singing skills, explore sound with Orff instruments, and deepen their love of music while making new friends.

Full Day Camp

July 22-26
10:00 AM-3:00 PM

Cohort A: for girls entering grades 2-3

Cohort B: for girls entering grades 4-6

Location: Volunteer Park Church
1300 E. Aloha, in North Capitol Hill

Cost (Financial Aid is available – see above):
Standard Registration: $365

Participants will spend each morning in choir rehearsal, where musicianship skills are integrated into each lesson. In the afternoon, they’ll play percussion and hand chimes, dance, and more! On Friday the campers will give an informal concert to families and friends, showcasing their newly learned musical skills. This camp is perfect for the kid who can’t get enough of music class or choir practice!

Musical Mornings

For girls ages 4 through incoming 1st graders

Location: Volunteer Park Church
1300 E. Aloha, in North Capitol Hill

Standard Registration: $200

Throughout the week, campers learn songs, play singing games, explore classroom instruments, and participate in musical storytelling. On Friday of each week, the campers will give an informal concert to family and friends, showcasing their newly learned musical skills.
