Carmina Angelorum: Songs of the Angels

SGC is proud to present the 14th annual Carmina Angelorum: Songs of the Angels, performed by our senior choir, Prime Voci. The program features Benjamin Britten’s stunning choral masterpiece “A Ceremony of Carols” for harp and treble voices, and John Rutter’s “Dancing Day” cycle, paired with choral works by Joan Szymko, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, Rosephanye Powell, and Alice Parker. These are four of the composers included on Prime Voci’s upcoming album Unsung Voices (to be released June 2025), honoring the work of women choral composers from the twelfth century through the modern day.

Carmina Angelorum offers a space for reflection and hope as we make our way through the longest nights of the year. Join us for an elegant and captivating performance this holiday season!
