Josie O’Brien started her journey with the Seattle Girls Choir as a chorister in 2022 and graduated from the SGC chorister role in 2024, she is now employed for the company as a teachers assistant and vocal coach for current SGC choristers. At seven years old she started her choral journey studying under Chicago based choral and orchestral conductor Andrew Lewis. After moving from Chicago to Seattle in 2020 she went on to join groups Seattle Pro Musica under conductor Karen P Thomas, Soundsation under Jefferey Horenstein, and Prime Voce under artisitic director Sarra Doyle. Josie has also attended a number of summer programs such as Orvieto Musica (Orvieto, Italy), Boston Conservatory’s VCI (Boston, Massachusetts), and Berklee’s Five week summer intensive (Boston, Massachusetts.) When Josie isn’t singing she loves to make pottery, hike with her dog, go to museums, and draw.
