Carol Banach – Cantamus Accompanist

Carol has enjoyed a lifelong career as a professional musician in ministry, education and healing.  At present she serves Glendale Lutheran Church as Director of Music Ministries/Organist and Temple Beth Am as pianist.  She founded and teaches at The Lark’s Nest Music Studio and also teaches at Holy Names Academy.  Carol graduated from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey with a BA in Arts and a Certification in Music Education.  She studied conducting with Dr. Joseph Flummerfelt and organ with Robert Carwithen, and sang with the Symphonic Choir with the New York Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta and Philadelphia Orchestra under Ricardo Muti.
Carol lives in Ballard with her adorable 12 yr. old pup, Leela.  When not creating music, she enjoys her flower garden, long walks on the beach or in the forest, cooking and having adventures with her two daughters. And laughing!
