SGC regularly schedules concerts and performance opportunities throughout the year which include our annual all choir level holiday and spring concerts. During the holiday and late spring we make an effort that all auditioned choir levels have at least one community outreach focused performance. For the younger choirs these are often scheduled prior to the all choir level concerts to double as practice performances. Prime Voci has several Carmina Angelorum concerts during the holiday season. Since the choir collaborates with other Seattle area arts organizations additional concerts may be added throughout the year for the older three choir levels.
Schedules for each choir level are updated throughout the year. They provide key dates and high level information. You can find the current version in the “Members” section of our website.
Call Sheets are generated for each performance and each choir level. These documents provide detailed information from precisely where and when to drop your child, what to wear, how to contact SGC on performance days. You can always find the Call Sheets posted in the “Members” section of our website.
Performance Ready Appearance
Choristers will be asked to arrive concert ready for performances. In addition to their clothing there are other important details to contribute to a unified appearance of a formal choir that choristers will be asked to pay attention to and follow:
- No jewelry. (includes ear studs, pinky rings, friendship bracelets)
- Simple/Natural makeup for older choristers. No nail polish at any level.
- Hair pulled away from face and back behind shoulders. This reduces temptation to flip hair back or bring hands up to face as a distraction to the audience.
- Clips and bands are encouraged. They should have a natural balance with a chorister’s hair coloring to blend in. No adornments. No bright contrasting colors.
- Hair should be clean, brushed, and pulled back prior to arrival.
