Join Seattle Girls Choir’s Prime Voci as they celebrate 1,000 years of choral music composed by women!
Women have always been part of the history of choral music. Unsung Voices celebrates and honors their vast contributions with an exciting selection of choral compositions by women dating as far back as the twelfth century through the present day.
The program includes works by Isabella Leonarda, Florence Price, Ethyl Smyth, Caroline Shaw, Rosephanye Powell, local composer Jessica French, and a world premiere of a new commission by Joan Szymko.

Directed by Sarra S. Doyle and featuring Susanna Valleau, piano, and Jordan Voelker, viola.
This concert also marks the release of SGC’s first studio album in over a decade! Many thanks to the donors and funders who made the Unsung Voices album possible, including the Alice M. Ditson Fund of Columbia University.
