Sarra is thrilled to begin her work as Artistic Director and conductor of Prime Voci. Sarra has conducted Allegra since 2016 and directed Dolcine before that. She has taught choir in public and private schools for nearly fifteen years, most recently at Explorer West Middle School and Kirkland Middle School. In the music room, Sarra strives to create a supportive community that emboldens singers to gain musical independence, take risks, and become leaders. As a professional singer, Sarra performs regularly with the Byrd Ensemble, Tudor Choir, and Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. Sarra holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Music Education from Columbia University. She lives in West Seattle with her husband, Orrin, and dogs, Annie and Odie. Sarra is a graduate of the Seattle Girls Choir, having sung in the program herself from ages eight to eighteen.
