We are scheduling audition appointments for applicants 14-19 years old. Please fill out the following form to initiate an appointment and further information.
Sorella meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 9:00 PM.
All choristers, faculty, and staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Auditions will be ~20 minutes long and candidates will be asked to:
- Perform a ~90 second excerpt of any song in the range and style you are most comfortable with. This could be an original song.
- Demonstrate proficiency in sight-reading and ear training.

Prepare the following excerpts. The PDF and MP3 files will be emailed to you upon audition form receipt and processing.
- Green Garden: Pick a part (A2, A1, S2, S1b, or S1a) and learn it from section O until the end. Also learn the solo parts for K, L, and M
- Show Me Love: Pick any part and learn from the pickup to m.17 through m. 33

About Sorella: Come learn the intricacies of today’s popular music styles in Seattle Girls Choir’s contemporary ensemble, Sorella. This ensemble is tailored to the interests of its participants from year to year, while maintaining a focus on learning the ins and outs of stage performance and mastering new vocal techniques. Singers will perform music from a wide variety of contemporary vocal artists, learn how to how to work with other singers and instrumentalists, and discover how arrangers reimagine their favorite songs. Along with creative development, singers will receive further training in all the areas that make a musician most successful – music theory, ear training, and sight-reading. Sorella prepares young musicians for a future in today’s contemporary music scene, whether it be a career in performance, composition, or education. If you’re a young artist that just can’t get enough music in their life, this is the group for you!
